About Me

My name is Jeni Tahaney, and I am a high school librarian at Mansfield Summit High School in Arlington, TX.  I began my career as a first grade teacher.  After 8 years in the classroom, my principal approached me with another educational opportunity...to become the campus Library Media Specialist.  After 5 years as an elementary librarian, I made the big leap to high school. 

The 2024-25 school year will mark my 17th year as a high school librarian and the beginning of my 30th year in education. I work with 2 adult library clerks, Ms. Truong and Ms. Jeffries, and together we try to meet the needs of 2000+ students and faculty members on a daily basis.

In my spare time, I like to read books, spend time with friends and family, and watch Hallmark movies.
